Veles Capital Investment Company organizes the 10th charity concert in favor of children with Down Syndrome

On March 21, the World Down Syndrome Day, Veles Capital Investment Company organized the 10th charity concert in favor of the Downside Up and Love Syndrome funds to support people with Down syndrome. Palais Royal was partner of the evening.
The stars of opera scene – Marat Gali, The Bolshoi Theater’s solist, and Olga Guryakova, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, performed arias from the operas of A. Scarlatti, J. Puccini, P.I. Tchaikovsky, R. Wagner and the works of R. Schumann, E. Elgar and I. Kalman.
Stanislav Dyachenko, Associate Professor of Moscow Conservatory and concertmaster of international level, accompanied the Artists and acquainted guests with the history of opera.
Over 400 000 rubles – was the amount of attracted donations to support children development programs and purchase necessary office equipment to organize classes.
Marat Gali – The Bolshoi Theatre soloist since 2002. Graduated from Moscow Conservatoire (the conducting choral faculty, 1995; the singing faculty, 1999). Participated in the master-classes of the Stuttgart International Bach Academy in Moscow (1992, 1994); took part in Nodar Andguladze’s master-classes (Georgia) and the Bernd Weikl master-classes (Austria). In 1999-2002, he was a soloist with the Moscow Philarmoniс Society.
Olga Guryakova - a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theater (Stanislavsky Opera). Graduated from Moscow State Conservatoire in 1995 and completed the post-graduate course of the Moscow Conservatoire in 1997. The prize-winner of the Rimsky-Korsakov International Competition in Saint-Petersburg (1996). Took part in the performances of the Mariinsky Theater and the international tours of the Mariinsky Opera, the Bolshoi Theater, Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera, National Opera de Paris / “Opera Bastille”/, Grand Opera de Paris, Opera National de Lyon, Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Covent Garden, Grand Theatre de Geneve, Opera de Monte-Carlo, Theatre de la Monnaie, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the San Francisco Opera, the Houston Grand Opera and other theaters. Performed at Carnegie Hall.
The Love Syndrome Charity Fund was established in 2016 by the Downside Up fund. The mission is to create a full life conditions for people with Down syndrome. The fund sees the world full of different opportunities for children with Down's syndrome so they can grew up in loving families, get education, go in for sports, develop their creative abilities and participate in the life of society.
The Downside Up Charity Fund is non-governmental charity organization which support children with Down Syndrome and their families in Russia for more than 20 years. Over these years, thousands of families went through long-term assistance programs, about 19 000 specialists held methodological seminars, 221,000 copies of educational publications were spread between families and professionals. Downside Up works thanks to donations. The Fund provides all the help to families free of charge.
